Davis/Swann Lake Wedding

Well, It has officially been a minute. Hope you guys & gals are doing good. Last weekend I had the pleasure of DJing a super fun wedding reception in Leeds, AL. Most of the time when we speak of weddings in Leeds, we would normally be talking about DJing at the gorgeous venue known as The Sonnett House. This weekend, however, I performed at the personal residence of the Davis family. So, I know what you're thinking, backyard wedding..... Well, you would be wrong. LaDonna Davis did an amazing job setting this party up. The house was a beautiful brick home, looking out over Rex Lake at sunset... (SWEET)
We had two large tents setup outside were we had cocktail hour with a band and of course the DJ.
I was especially proud to DJ this one, and the story goes back to last Summer. Quick, let's reminisce.
Last June, I DJ'd an amazing wedding and reception at Avondale Brewery in Birmingham for Adam Franklin and Whitney Durham. Needless to say, it was a PARTY! Erin Davis was a bridesmaid at that wedding and caught the white rose bouquet that Whitney tossed........ See where I'm going......
This past weekend, I DJ'd the reception for Erin Davis and Matt Swann. And of course, Adam and Whitney were in attendance.
I setup some wireless LED uplights and lit the place up nice with a soft purple (R235/B150/GR0..for you DJ's out there) that seemed to flow perfectly with the tans and cream colors of the wedding. This party started off with a buffet and then we went strait into the cake cutting. After the formal first & special dances, we went strait into the party. Like they say, Time Flies When You're Having Fun"... It was over far too early.  We had a great time and help was provided all night long by the great Day of Coordinator Keely Duke. The guests were all happy and another party was rocked! Maybe I'll be DJing Sarah's wedding next.... afterall, she DID CATCH THE BOUQUET!!!
